To add a new participant account click the icon 'Add a Participant"
Enter the following:
Screen name: Use your own participant code, do not enter the person's real name.
Email: Do not enter the person's real email address instead type "no_email"
Password; Copy and paste the screen name into this field.
Then select a group to which this participant will belong. If you want to create additional groups please contact us
Configure Momentary ParametersOnce you have added the new record of the participant you must configure their settings before you assign any surveys to that record.
Press Send Invitation" to create the account (no email invitation will be sent as you did not enter their real address). The participant account has now been created and their unique Mobile Code has been generated. You can find this account by using the People Finder icon
Use the People Finder to locate the record then click the surveys icon
Next click the Configure Momentary Parameters icon
Change any of the Window parameters you'd like
In the Other Options section at the bottom uncheck everything except "backstep"
Click Update
See all instances: shows you a list of upcoming scheduled alerts and previously completed instances when you touch the survey title on the app
Backstep: allows users to go backwards through the survey
Create Ad Hoc instances: Allows users to create a new instance of the survey whenever they want even though it is assigned as a Momentary, Repeating or Scheduled type.
Delete Instance: Allows users to delete completed instances of a survey from the mobile device before syncing to the platform. This is only available if "See all Instances" is checked too.
Information about App configurations for Testers
The default configuration for the App when first downloaded is for all the "Other Options" to be allowed (i.e. checked). You can return your App to this configuration at any time by entering "0000" in the Mobile Code field. NOTE: The App will also reset to the default conditions if you enter any string of digits into the Mobile Code field that is not recognized as a Mobile Code in the MOMENTS platform.For this reason we recommend that study participants do NOT have access to "Change Codes"
The first time you sync a newly downloaded App with the platform happens when you enter the Mobile Code and URL then press DONE. At this point the configuration file for that participant is pulled down from the platform.
"Change Settings" Function
If you allow a user to Change Settings, that is, you CHECK the "Change Settings" box then:
| • | That user can go into the Settings pannel on their iOS phone / tablet and make changes to all the parameters from there |
| • | Changes made by the user locally on the phone/tablet will always override those made on the platform as long as "Change Settings" is checked |
| • | The user will still be able to access the Settings Pannel on their device and appear to make changes but these will not take effect, the parameters set on the platform will remain in place |
| • | Updated parameters, set from the platform, will be downloaded to the mobile device each time the App is synced with the platform. |
| • | The user will always be able to change the Alert Sound form the Settings Pannel |
